How and why did you choose to become a designer?

It happened, in a way, by accident. I was not familiar with that field
before attending university.

What are some of the challenges you encounter as a designer and how do you deal with them?

I try to make a simple thing that I can understand well,
and, at least in my thoughts, build myself.

What is your definition of an “elegant solution,” that is, good design?

Something a person would enjoy using.

From skills to values, what makes a designer successful?

I don’t know, I guess it can be many things.

How do you stay motivated and grow personally and professionally as a designer?

New thoughts and new problem solving always give you some new knowledge.

For those aspiring to become a designer, whatever the discipline, what is your advice?

To enjoy their work, and to also make prototypes, in paper,
or anything—it helps you meet your idea in person.

What is your quest in design, from a professional practice, education or evolution standpoint?

Making something a little bit new in some way, hoping that someone, someday,
will be happy experiencing it.
