Make-up Artist and Hairstylist

Primary design concentration:

Make-up Artistry and Hairstyling, in other words, expressing myself on a human being—3D live expression!

Most preferred tool for designing:

My hands, besides this, my brushes

1. How and why did you choose to become a designer?

In 1997, I graduated from Art school and had an accident. So during my recovery, I asked myself: What do I want to become? What makes me happy? My Mother helped me re-ask these basic questions which helped me get into contact with the basic things that I did as a child like painting, playing with colours and compositions. Since then, I’ve been expressing myself—Playing like a child in my adult life.

2. Challenges you encounter as a designer and how do you deal with them?

Options and Bookings. Sometimes you’re put as an option for a job, couple days later they choose someone else. I rely on Trust and Belief to make things happen. And I try to be relaxed. When you are relaxed in life, life is for you, when nothing and nobody are against you.

3. Your definition of an “elegant solution,” that is, good design?

Movement and Progression from the inside. Do not Copy! Choose what You want to do! Go with your flow!

4. From skills to values, what makes a designer successful?

Personality. Guts. Choosing Art before techniques. Perseverance.

5. How do you stay motivated and grow personally and professionally as a designer?

By letting go of EGO! Work is not that important! I travel, explore other places, study languages. I live to be Happy.

6. For those aspiring to become a designer, whatever the discipline, what is your advice?

See and take it as a life’s journey. Do not rush yourself or others! Stay in contact with how you really are. Embrace the changes that arrive on your path. Believe in yourself. Trust your instincts to help guide you. And Enjoy every day of your journey!

7. What is your quest in design?

To work with people around the world. In 2010, I’m going to India. Then I’m planning to go to Japan! Going through life, discovering and making to the greatest lengths in order to use it in my art and pursuing work in magazines. My inspiration never stops!
